DIVINE HEALTH

For better understanding of Divine Health, we’ll first define the meaning of Health.

Definition of Health:

Health is a multifaceted concept that encompasses physical, mental, and social well-being. It’s not just the absence of disease, but a state of complete well-being.

Some key aspects of health include:

  1. Physical health: Nutrition, exercise, sleep, and disease prevention.
  2. Mental health: Emotional well-being, stress management, and mental illness support.
  3. Social health: Relationships, community connections, and social support.

The World Health Organization (WHO) defines health as “a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity”.

Key Aspects of Health include:

  1. Physical health: Nutrition, exercise, sleep, and disease prevention.
  2. Mental health: Emotional well-being, stress management, and mental illness support.
  3. Social health: Relationships, community connections, and social support.

DEFINITION OF DIVINE HEALTH:

Divine health is a concept often associated with faith and spirituality. Many believe that through prayer, faith, and a connection with a higher power, individuals can experience physical, emotional, and spiritual healing.

According to Bible, is for you to live in divine health—with energy and vitality, at a healthy weight, sleeping well, with a clear mind and the confidence to go along with it.

7 Keys to Divine Health:

There are varying perspectives on the seven keys to divine health, but the core principles revolve around faith, obedience, and the promises found in the Bible. Different Christian leaders have identified and taught these principles, including Kenneth Hagin, David Oyedepo, and Emmanuel AnuOluwatomiwa.

Based on their shared teachings, here are seven commonly cited keys to achieving and maintaining divine health:

1. Faith in God’s Word

A foundational principle of divine health is believing in the healing promises in God’s Word, such as Exodus 15:26, where God declaredly himself “the LORD who heals”. By having unwavering faith that God’s Word is true, you can create an atmosphere for miracles and healing to occur.

2. Confession of the Word

Speaking God’s promises aloud, or confessing them, is believed to reinforce faith and activate healing power. Biblical teachings state that life and death are in the power of the tongue (Proverbs 18:21), so consistently speaking declarations of health can align your words with God’s will and lead to healing.

3. Obedience to God’s commands

The Bible connects obedience with divine health. Exodus 23:25 states, “You shall serve the Lord your God, and he will bless your bread and your water, and I will take sickness away from among you”. A life of obedience, which also includes walking in love and repenting of sin, is seen as essential for maintaining a healthy relationship with God and receiving his blessings.

4. Prayer and fasting

Prayer is a direct channel for communicating with God, and fervent, persistent prayer invites his healing power into your life. Fasting is a way to intensify prayer and demonstrate dependence on God for divine intervention.

5. A joyful heart

A cheerful and thankful heart is considered good medicine. Proverbs 17:22 states, “A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones”. Cultivating joy and gratitude strengthens your body and mind and promotes overall well-being.

6. Receiving the Holy Spirit

Believers are taught that the Holy Spirit residing within them guarantees divine healing and health. Romans 8:11 says, “But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his spirit that dwelleth in you“. The indwelling Holy Spirit is seen as a source of supernatural strength and vitality.

7. Stewardship of the body

The body is considered the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20) and is meant to be honored. This involves making wise and healthy lifestyle choices that promote well-being, such as:

  • Proper diet
  • Rest
  • Exercise.

Some aspects of divine health include:

  1. Physical healing: Restoration of physical health through faith and prayer.
  2. Emotional healing: Inner peace, comfort, and restoration of emotional well-being.
  3. Spiritual healing: Renewal and strengthening of one’s spiritual connection.

Different faith traditions and beliefs approach divine health in various ways. Some may emphasize:

1. Faith healing

2. Prayer for healing

3. Spiritual practices (meditation, fasting)

4. Holistic approaches (integrating physical, emotional, spiritual well-being)

Some people believe that divine health is a promise from God to provide healing and wellness for those who have faith. Others see it as a holistic approach to health, encompassing physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

Some key aspects to consider:

  1. Faith and prayer: Many believe that prayer and faith can lead to healing and wellness.
  2. Spiritual practices: Meditation, fasting, and other spiritual practices can contribute to overall well-being.
  3. Community support: Support from a faith community can provide emotional and spiritual support.

Others may view divine health through the lens of:

  1. Mind-body connection: The connection between mental and physical health.
  2. Holistic health: Integrating physical, emotional, and spiritual health.

The Principles of Divine Healing:

You are to boldly affirm His word. Boldly proclaim God’s Word over your life, reinforce His promises and align your heart with His will. Say, “By His stripes, I am healed to” (Isaiah 53:5). Consistently speaking God’s Words reinforces your trust in Him and paves the way for healing.

Verses on “divine health” often point to God as the source of healing and wholeness, with examples including Exodus 15:26 where God declares, “I am the Lord, your healer“, and Isaiah 53:5 which states, “by his wounds you are healed“. Other verses emphasize faith, prayer, and obeying God as paths to health, such as Proverbs 4:20-22 stating that God’s words are “life, and health to all your flesh”, and James 5:16 highlighting the power of prayer for healing.

Here are some key Bible verses related to divine health:

God as Healer:

Exodus 15:26: “If you listen carefully to the LORD your God and do what is right in his eyes… I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the LORD, who heals you”.

Psalm 103:3: “…who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases”.

Healing Through Christ:

Isaiah 53:5 (also cited in 1 Peter 2:24): “But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds you are healed”.

Faith and Obedience:

Proverbs 4:20-22: “My son, pay attention to my words, incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; keep them in the midst of your heart. For they are life to those who find them, and health to all their flesh”.

James 5:16: “…The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective”

God’s Promises of Restoration:

Jeremiah 30:17: “‘For I will restore health to you, and your wounds I will heal,’ declares the LORD“.

Prayers for Healing:

Psalm 6:2Have mercy on me, O LORD, for I am weak; heal me, O LORD, for my bones are shaken“.

Jeremiah 17:14Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved, for you are the one I praise”.

Conclusion

In summary, divine health is a holistic concept of well-being centered on faith-based healing and harmony of the body, mind, and spirit. It complements the pursuit of physical health with spiritual devotion to attain alignment across all aspects of one’s being. For religious individuals, divine health marks the fulfillment of God’s promises of blessing and restoration.

Healing through prayer, lifestyle stewardship, and grace cultivated through scripture and worship allows maintaining peak health of a sanctified spirit in an earthly vessel. Though not mandatory for redemption, divine health principles allow believers to find wholeness and engage in righteous living. By exploring its biblical basis and integrating its practices, people of faith can enrich their journey towards spiritual and physical wellness.

EL SHADDAI HERITAGE SEPTEMBER 2025

You are welcome to the September 2025 edition of El Shhadai Heritage!

Our focus for September 2025 is Prayer.

Prayer is giving your attention, dedicating some of your time to God in a two-way spiritual relationship where you talk to God, God talks back to you, you listen to God and God also listens to you.

As children of God, the best way to relate with God is by talking to him and listening to Him. We can only talk to God through prayer.

Jesus Christ made us understand in Matthew chapter 6 verse 7 that prayer is not an option when He said: ” …When ye pray…

Also, in Mark chapter 11 verse 24

Jesus also mentioned or rather emphasized that prayer is not an option when He used the Word

“WHEN” and not “IF”

“Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, “when” ye pray…”

Prayer can also be considered as a lifeline of a believer.

In view of the fact that the devil want you dead spiritually, he will do anything and everything to prevent you from praying, he will give every logical reason why you should not pray at the time you schedule to pray.

The ultimate goal of the devil is to prevent you from praying.

You, therefore, must make a conscious effort to pray.

God asked you to pray because He is ready to answer your prayers.

Prayer is not a waste of time.

If you have been praying over a particular issue and it appears the answer has been delayed, there could be several reasons responsible.

God might be telling you to hold on, Abraham waited for Isaac for 25 years, at a point, to them it appeared God had forgotten about their situation, Abraham and his wife decided to help God by engaging the maid of Sarah, Hagar to have a baby for Abraham

But God came to Abraham again as if nothing happened, as if He is unaware of the existence of Ishmeal born to Abraham by Hagar, Sarah’s maid and reassured Abraham that HE will give him a son and He did.

When Daniel started fasting, the very first day he prayed, God heard Him, but the enemy delayed the answer to that prayer. If Daniel had stopped praying, his angel of blessing would have been incapacitated, but the consistent prayer and fasting of Daniel generated enough power that motivated heaven to find out what exactly was going on.

In 1 Thessalonians chapter 5 verse 16
the Bible says we should

Pray without ceasing.

It is heartwarming to know that God does not store prayers.
In Psalms 65 verse 2,

the Bible says
O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come.”

That means God pays attention and gives a special place to our prayers.

Benefits of Prayer

  1. Through prayer, you develop a relationship with God. As you speak to God in prayer, He will also speak back to you in different ways.
  2. Prayer helps you to understand God more. The more you pray, the closer you get to God.
  3. Each time we pray, God answers, but at times, we need to tune in to the Spirit to understand what God is saying per time.
  4. Prayer gives you strength to avoid temptation and continue in your Christian journey
  5. Prayer aligns you and keeps you in the will of God. As you continue to pray, it becomes easy for you to stay in the will of God, and you receive grace and strength to fulfill the plan and purpose of God for your life
  6. When you pray, you experience miracles, the Lord makes a way for you, situations are turned around.
  7. When you pray, you invite the Holy Spirit into your life, the Holy Spirit helps you and grants you divine direction.
  8. Prayer helps you to become more like Jesus, you see people the same way Jesus sees them, you love them the way Jesus loved people when he walked the earth.

Praise The Lord!

SHALOM! SHALOM! SHALOM!

EL SHADDAI HERITAGE JUNE 2025

THEME: FAITH

Faith is a gift from God that enables us to accept salvation which is also a gift from God. It is the foundation of Christianity. Without faith it is impossible to be born again. And without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him” (Hebrews 11:6, KJV). Without faith we can not see God.

In the Bible, faith is described as a gift from God that enables us to trust in Him and His Word. “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God” (Ephesians 2:8, KJV). This faith is not just a feeling or an emotion, but a deep-seated confidence in God’s love and power.

Faith is defined by the bible as the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1, KJV). Faith helps us to believe things before they come to pass. We have not seen heaven yet we believe it exists and we will be there.

Through faith, we are able to please God and receive the promises He has made to us.Faith is trusting in God’s goodness and sovereignty. It is about believing that He is working all things together for our good, even when we cannot see or understand what is happening. “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose” (Romans 8:28, KJV).

ATTRIBUTES OF FAITH:

  1. Faith is a Powerful force
Faith has the power to move mountains, overcome obstacles, and bring about miracles. “If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you” (Matthew 17:20, KJV).
  2. Faith is a Trusting force:
Faith involves trusting in God’s plan, even when we don’t understand it. “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord” (Isaiah 55:8, KJV). We can trust that God’s plan is for our good and His glory.
  3. Faith is a Persevering force:
Faith helps to persevere especially in times of trial. “Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him” (James 1:12, KJV).
4: Faith is a Working force:
Faith is about acting on what we believe. “What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?” (James 2:14, KJV). Our works demonstrate our faith and show others the love of God.

HOW TO PUT YOUR FAITH TO WORK

  1. Be born again
  2. Belief in God’s Word and promises.
3 .Obey and follow God’s will.
  3. Pray for faith increase “And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith” (Luke 17:5, KJV).
  4. Read and meditate on God’s Word. “Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Romans 10:176. Surround yourself with supportive believers.
  5. Trust in God’s sovereignty: Trust that God is in control and working all things together for your good
  6. Take action: Step out in faith, taking practical steps towards your goals and dreams. “Faith without works is dead.” James 2:26
  7. Persevere through challenges: Trust God to see you through difficult times.”Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” Proverbs 3:5

BENEFITS OF FAITH

  1. Peace: Faith brings peace in the midst of uncertainty and turmoil.
  2. Hope: Faith gives us hope for a better future.
  3. Guidance: Faith helps us navigate life’s challenges.
4: Closer relationship with God: Faith helps us develop a deeper connection with God.
5: Wisdom: Faith helps us seek God’s guidance and wisdom.
  4. Hope and optimism: Faith gives us hope and optimism for the future.
  5. Courage and confidence: Faith helps us face challenges with courage and confidence.
  6. Better decision-making: Faith helps us make decisions that align with God’s will.
  7. Resilience and perseverance: Faith gives us the strength to overcome obstacles.
  8. Purpose and direction: Faith helps us discover our purpose and direction in life.
  9. Salvation: Faith in Jesus Christ leads to salvation and eternal life.
  10. Eternal hope:: Faith gives us hope for a better future in eternity.
  11. God’s presence: Faith allows us to experience God’s presence and joy in eternity.

CHALLENGES TO FAITH

  1. Doubt: Doubts can creep in, testing our faith.
  2. Fear: Fears can undermine our faith.
  3. Uncertainty: Uncertainty can challenge our faith.

We the Children of God are encouraged to even have faith like a mustard seed, which is small but can grow into a large tree. “Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you” (Matthew 17:20, KJV)

BIBLICAL EXAMPLES OF EXPLOITS OF FAITH

  1. Abraham trusted God’s promise of a son, despite his old age (Genesis 15:1-6).
  2. David’s courage: David trusted God’s power and protection, facing Goliath with courage (1 Samuel 17:45-47).
  3. The woman with the issue of blood: She trusted Jesus’ power to heal her, touching His cloak (Mark 5:25-34).

CONCLUSION

Through faith we believe that God is the Rock, the Savior, and Redeemer. Through faith, we can trust in Him, receive His promises, and live a life that is pleasing to Him. May we all strive to have a strong faith that enables us to overcome challenges and achieve great things for God’s glory.

The Transformative Power of the Word of God

Introduction:
Dear and sisters in Christ, today we gather to reflect on the transformative power of the Word of God. AuthorThe Scriptures are not merely words on a page; they are living and active, capable of changing our hearts, renewing our minds, and guiding our paths. Let us open our hearts and minds to the message that God has for us through His Word.

Scripture Reading: 2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NIV)
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Explanation:
In these verses, the apostle Paul emphasizes the divine origin and purpose of the Scriptures. The Word of God is God-breathed, inspired by the Holy Spirit, and given to us for our instruction and guidance. It is not merely a collection of stories and teachings but a living and dynamic force that has the power to shape our lives and equip us for every good work.

The Word of God serves multiple purposes in our lives. It teaches us the ways of God, rebukes us when we stray from His path, corrects our errors, and trains us in righteousness. Through the Scriptures, we are equipped to live out our faith in a world that is often hostile to the ways of God. The Word of God is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path, showing us the way we should walk.

Application:
As believers, we are called to engage with the Word of God regularly and prayerfully. We should not approach the Scriptures casually but with reverence and humility, recognizing the authority and power they hold. When we meditate on the Word of God, we invite the Holy Spirit to work in our hearts, transforming us from the inside out.

The Word of God has the power to convict us of sin, comfort us in times of trouble, and guide us in making wise decisions. It is a source of strength and encouragement for us as we navigate the challenges of life. When we hide God’s Word in our hearts, we are better equipped to withstand the storms of life and to be a light to those around us.

Conclusion:
Dear friends, let us not underestimate the power and authority of the Word of God in our lives. Let us commit ourselves to studying and meditating on the Scriptures daily, allowing them to shape our thoughts, words, and actions. As we immerse ourselves in God’s Word, may we be transformed more and more into the image of Christ, reflecting His love and truth to a world in need.

May the Word of God be a source of strength, comfort, and guidance for us in all circumstances. Let us go forth with a renewed commitment to living out the truths of Scripture in our daily lives. Remember, the Word of God is living and active, ready to transform us and equip us for every good work.

Amen.

EL-SHADDAI HERITAGE FEBRUARY 2024

Grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.

We thank God for bringing us into the second month of the year, may His name be forever praised.

Our Focus for this Month of February is JOY

Our anchor scripture –
‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5:16‬ ‭GNBUK‬‬
Be joyful always,

Joy is not just a feeling, neither a moment of happiness nor a fleeting sense of pleasure as defined by the

Oxford dictionary. It’s not just a smile or laugh. Joy is something that is deep within and does not l

Joy is a state of the mind and an orientation of the heart. It is a settled state of contentment, confidence, and hope. It is that inward peace and sufficiency are not affected by outward circumstances.

Joy is a divine gift, a fruit of the Spirit freely given to us by our Heavenly Father.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

Galatians‬ ‭5:22‬ ‭KJVAAE‬‬

As with all of the fruit of the Spirit, real joy can’t be manufactured through an act of our will. Joy comes from the Holy Spirit, who works in our hearts.
‭‭
For the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
Romans 14:17 NKJ

We experience deep joy as the Holy Spirit makes the work and knowledge of Jesus a greater reality in our hearts.

Joy is not optional but a vital necessity. Without joy, our spirit is crushed, our life force is drained, our bones are dried up. But with joy, our spirit is lifted, our life force is renewed, our bones are strengthened.

A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. Prov 17:22 ESV

This verse is packed with wisdom. It’s telling us that a cheerful heart, a heart filled with joy, is good medicine. It is essential for our health, our well-being and our spirit. But a crushed spirit, a spirit devoid of joy, dries up the bones. It saps

strength and vitality.

Research also shows that joyful heart promotes a healthier lifestyle. It boosts immune system, fights stress, pain and supports longevity
Joy keeps us healthy

Joy has healing power, healing the spirit, soul and body. As you choose to rejoice in God it can have a powerful effect on your heart and your physical health.

Being filled with the Spirit causes you to experience the fullness of joy and pleasures evermore:

Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fullness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermorePsalm 16:11

The Holy Spirit living in us brings us God’s presence, which brings joy to our hearts and refreshes us. His presence in our lives gives no room for spiritual downcast.

You can’t be cast down when you know how to stir the joy of the Lord that’s in your spirit. That joy, the Bible declares, is your strength

Then he said to them, “Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.
Nehemiah 8:10

Eat, drink, and be a blessing to others. Every day God has made is holy and to be rejoiced in.

Ps 118:24 says “This is the day which the LORD hath made; We will rejoice and be glad in it.

As we rejoice in the Lord He fills us with fresh strength daily!

Jesus came to give us joy that no one can take away. He promised that this joy that He has in His relationship with the Father, can also be in us. And not just a little bit of joy, but full joy. Complete and Overflowing joy.
‭‭
These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full.
John 15:11 NKJ

Joy is the settled assurance that God is in control of all the details of our life, the quiet confidence that ultimately everything is going to be alright, and the determined choice to praise God in every situation

Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labor of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation“.
Hab.3.17-18.KJVAAE

This verse is a declaration of faith, a proclamation of joy. It’s saying that no matter what happens, no matter how dire the circumstances, I will rejoice in the Lord. I will be joyful in God my Savior

Life’s trials are certainly not fun, but we can react to those painful situations with joy if we understand that God is demonstrating His love for us through those circumstances.

My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that testing your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.
James 1:2-4

The purpose of trials in the above passage was to produce patience or endurance in our lives.

To find joy and remain joyful always, you must surrender your life to the Lord, submit yourself totally to the control of the Holy Spirit, study God’s word, spend time with God in Prayer, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord.

As you consistently fellowship with the Holy Spirit, your life will be full of joy irrespective of what is happening around you.
So rejoice evermore in the Holy Ghost, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.

Shalom

EL SHADDAI HERITAGE DECEMBER 2023

You are welcome to the December 2023 edition of El Shaddai Heritage.

Our focus for December 2023 is PRAISE.

“Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp.” Psalms 149:3

The Lord has been so good and faithful! Irrespective of what you went through in the year, The Lord kept you and preserved your life. The Bible says in Job chapter 14 verses 7-9
For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease. Though the root thereof wax old in the earth, and the stock thereof die in the ground; Yet through the scent of water, it will bud and bring forth boughs like a plant.

Listen, the devil does not have the final say over your life. The enemy can not succeed against you, and the devil can not prevail against you as long as you stay connected to Jesus Christ.

Your situation might look very bad now, you might feel very low, and you might even feel you are on the floor.

The Bible says in Psalms 124 verses 1 to 8

If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, now may Israel say; If it had not been the LORD who was on our side when men rose against us:

Then they had swallowed us up quickly when their wrath was kindled against us: Then the waters had overwhelmed us, and the stream had gone over our soul: Then, the proud waters had gone over our souls. Blessed be the LORD, who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth.

Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped. Our help is in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth.”

The Lord fought a lot of battles for you that you are not aware of.
The enemy wanted you maimed, the enemy wanted you incapacitated, the enemy wanted you dead, but God frustrated the plan of your enemies.

At this end of the year, given your previous and current negative situation, it might not sound logical to you that God has been good, that God has been there for you, but remember as a child of God, your emotion does not control you, you are expected to be controlled by the Word of God. The Lord loves you, and He has not failed you, He has not abandoned you.
Let the enemy throw his best shot, you will still be here standing on your feet because you have the life of God in you, because you are more than a conqueror, because the enemy does not decide your life!
Hallelujah!

You need to give God thanks for many reasons, and God is expecting to hear that thanksgiving from your lips. Hallelujah!

We give God Thanks For some of the reasons listed below

God expects you to give Him thanks because it is a command.
If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the LORD of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart.
Malachi 2:2

God commands us to praise Him for the blessings He bestows on us.

John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it is given him from heaven.
John 3:27

Every good thing you enjoy in life is from God. Be it your sleep, the good sleep you enjoy, the breath of your nostrils, the flexibility of your body, you can easily move from one place to the other without assistance, and many more things you enjoy.

You might think unbelievers also enjoy all of that…Yes, that is the nature of God, the Father. In Matthew chapter 5 verse 45, the Bible says

“…for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

But the Bible says in Psalms 16 verse 4

Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another god:…

Irrespective of what you went through this year, you are still better off than an unbeliever.

Secondly, when we give thanks to God, our blessings are preserved.

In Malachi chapter 2 verse 2 that we referenced above, the Lord said if you fail to give Him thanks, He will curse your blessings. That same blessing you have now that you feel is not enough is going to disappear, God says He will curse the good things, the things that give you joy if you fail to appreciate His goodness in your life.

Thirdly, Thanksgiving enables God to give us more blessing

In Luke chapter 17, verse 17, when only one leper came back to give thanks.
Jesus said,

And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?”
When the leper came back to give Jesus thanks, he got an extra blessing, Jesus Christ made him whole! He never had to think of that sickness again. He was free and free forever.

We must be aware that God hates murmuring. The Bible says so many Israelites were destroyed because they murmured against God.

Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.
1 Corinthians 10:10

The Bible says in Hebrews chapter 12 verse 2

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

It doesn’t matter what your situation is, God has not failed you, the challenge here is that you can not see the whole picture, if only you can see the whole picture, you will surely give God thanks.

I pray that the Lord will give you the grace to keep standing firm and strong in Him in Jesus’ name!

Shalom! Shalom! Shalom!

TEACHING SERIES
FOCUS: WISDOM OF GOD

Wisdom can be said to be knowing the will of God and doing the will of God.
Wisdom can also be defined as obeying the Word of God.
Wisdom can also be defined as following the leading and direction of the Holy Spirit.

And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.
There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfill.
I will send my fear before thee, and will destroy all the people to whom thou shalt come, and I will make all thine enemies turn their backs unto thee
.”
Exodus 23:25-27

The Wisdom of God can be acquired through diverse means.

We can choose to obey God in one thing and reap the benefit of that obedience in every area of our lives.
God commands us to serve Him and He will take care of everything that concerns us from divine protection to healings, to breakthroughs, to fruitfulness, to prosperity, to provision…with only one thing, we can get everything we need in life.
Praise the Lord!

How Do We Acquire Wisdom

There are so many ways through which we can acquire the wisdom of God.

  1. Fear and reverence for God.
Fear here does not connote negativity but a feeling of awe, reverence, honor, and admiration for God.

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.”
Proverbs 9:10

  1. Hunger for Wisdom.
When you genuinely hunger for wisdom, the Lord will give you wisdom.

Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding;
If thou seekest her as silver and searchest for her as for hid treasures;
Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.

Proverbs 2:3-5

  1. Prayer of Faith
Another way of acquiring wisdom is by praying.

If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

James 1:5-6

  1. The Word of God.
Jesus Christ is the Word of God, He is also the wisdom of God. The more we study the Word of God, the more wise we become.

But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.
1 Corinthians 1:24

WISDOM

According to the Oxford Dictionary wisdom is the quantity of having experience, knowledge, and good judgment, the quality of being wise.
Wisdom is a virtue that isn’t innate but can only be acquired through experiences. Anyone interested in trying new things and reflecting on the process can gain wisdom. By learning as much as you can analyzing your experiences and putting your knowledge to the test, you can become a wiser person.

1 Corinthians 1:30

But of Him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and sanctification and redemption.
For a child of God, God made Christ wisdom for us.

James 1:5
If any of you lack wisdom let him ask of God that giveth to all men library and upbraided not and it shall be given him.

A study Bible explains this verse as follows: “Christianity teaches men to be joyful under troubles, such exercises are sent from God’s love, and trials in the duty will brighten our graces now and our crown at last. We are encouraged to take care in times of trial that patience and not passion, is set to work in us; whatever is said or done, let patience have the saying and doing of it. When the work of patience is complete, it will furnish all that is necessary for our Christians’ race and welfare, we shall not pray so much for the removal of affliction, ask for wisdom to make the right use of it. And who does not want wisdom to guide him under trial both in regulating his own spirit and in managing his affairs? Here is something in answer to every discouraging turn of the mind, when we go to God under a sense of our own weakness and folly, if after all, any should say, this may be the case with some but I fear I shall not succeed’, the promise is, ‘To any that asked it shall be given. A mind that has single and prevailing regard for its spiritual and internal interest, and that keeps steady in its purposes for God, will grow wise by afflictions, will continue fervent in devotion, and rise above trial and opposition. When our faith has second causes, there will be unsteadiness in our minds and actions. This may not always expose men to contempt in the world, but such waste cannot please God. No condition of life is such as hinder rejoicing in God. Those low degree may rejoice if they are exalted to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom of God, and the rich may rejoice in humbling providence, that leads to a humble and lowly disposition of mind. Worldly wealth is a withering thing. Then, let him that is rich rejoice in the grace of God which makes and keeps him humble, and in the trials and exercises which teach him to seek happiness in and from God, not from perishing in enjoyment.

Importance of Wisdom:

Proverbs 19:20
Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end.

Those who would be wise in their latter end, must be taught a rule when young.

James 3:17
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be entreated full of mercy and good fruits , without partiality and without hypocrisy.
Verse 13 says:
Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? Let him show out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.

The above verses show the difference between men’s pretending to be wise and their being really so. He who thinks well, or he who talks well, is not wise in the sense of the Scripture if he does not leave and act well. True wisdom may be know by the meekness of the spirit and temper. Those who live malice, envy and contention, live in confusion and are liable to be proved and hurried to any evil work. Such wisdom comes not down from above but springs up from earthly principles, acts on earthly principles, acts on earthly motives, and is intent on serving earthly purposes. Those who are lifted up with such wisdom described by the apostle James, are near to their Christian love described by apostle Paul and both are so described that every man may fully prove the reality of his attainment in them. It has no disguise or deceit. It cannot fall in with those managements the world counts wise, which are crafty and guileful, but it is sincere, and open, and steady, and uniform, and consistent with itself. May the purity, peace gentleness, teachableness, and mercy, shown in all our actions and the fruits of righteousness abounding in our lives, prove that God has bestowed upon us this excellent gift.

Colossians 2:2-3

That their heart might be comforted being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgment of the mystery of God, and of the Father and of Christ. In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

Ecclesiastes 10:10
If the iron be blunt, and he do not whet the edge, then must he put to more strength; but wisdom is profitable to direct.

Therefore , to proceed to success, to execute quicker, we need wisdom.

Proverbs 3:13-15
Blessed are those who find wisdom, those who gain understanding, for she is more profitable than silver and yields better returns than gold. She is more precious than rubies, nothing you desire can compare with her.

Proverbs 16:16
How much better to get wisdom than gold, to get insight rather than silver.
The above versus emphasizes on the importance of wisdom in one’s life.

In conclusion;
Proverbs 1:7
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Fools are persons who have no true wisdom who follow their own devices without regard to reasons, or reverence for God. Children are reasonable creatures and when we tell them what they must do we must tell them why. But they are corrupt and willful, therefore, with the instruction there is need of a low. Let divine truths and commands be to us most honorable, let us value them, and then they shall be so to us. Obey not to walk with sinners.
Wisdom is the principal thing therefore get wisdom. Proverbs 4:7

Our Focus for the month of October 2023 is
Divine Health

It is important and significant that you understand that sickness is not from God.

Sickness and disease is from the devil no matter how you see it. John 10:10

The Bible says what God wishes for His children above every other thing is that they live in health

God does not punish or try his people with sickness.

Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
3 John 1:2

The devil capitalizes on the ignorance of Christians to afflict them. The devil even lies to people that they are being afflicted because of their sins.

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge:..
Hosea 4:6

Once you get born again you become a child of God.

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
John 1:12

The Bible makes us to understand that God is a good God. Psalms 100:5

Let’s take a quick scenario, if your child or your loved one disobeyed you or offended you, subsequently he or she falls sick, in terrible shape and you happen to be the only one that has access to the relief, he or she pleads with you passionately to please help him… Will you because of his offence watch him suffer?

Talking about human beings, God said

Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.
Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me.”

Isaiah 15: 15-16

God loves us beyond our wildest imagination. He made His only begotten son to die for us, for our sins so we can have eternal life, so we can be saved from the manifestation of the work of the devil, so we can be free from sickness and disease.

In Galatians 3: 13-14, The Bible says:
Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is everyone that hangeth on a tree:
That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

In Isaiah 53: 4-3, the Bible says
Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: …
But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him, and with his stripes we are healed.

When Jesus Christ died on the cross, He took away everything that causes and generates sickness, if you feel sickness and pain in your body, it is not real, you might feel the pain and weakness but the truth is that the enemy is taking advantage of your ignorance, you can decide to walk out of that sickness in the name of Jesus. All you need is a bold step of faith.
You can command that demon of sickness to depart from you in the name of Jesus and it will leave immediately. You might feel the impact of the sickness after the demon departs but it’s only a matter of time, your system will surely return to normal.

One of the principal tool of the devil is fear.
The Bible says in 2nd Timothy 1:7
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

The devil makes people believe that divine health is not real, at times he convinces them that divine health is for some class or group of people.
In John 3:16
The Bible says:
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

In Romans 10:13 The Bible says:
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

God does not discriminate. Once you call upon Him, He will answer.

Why does God want us to live in divine health?

  1. At the beginning, God did not intend for us to live in sickness. When God created Adam, sickness could not access him until after the fall. Genesis 3:17-19
  2. When we live in health, we display the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross.
    Colossians 2:14-15
  3. To show His love for us.
1 John 3:1 Why should I live in divine health
  4. We should live in divine health because God did not create our bodies for sicknesses and diseases.
  5. When we live in divine health, we manifest the glory of God.
  6. When we live in divine health, we are separated from darkness.
  7. When we live in divine health, we are a true reflection of the finished work at Calgary.
  8. Another reason is that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit not the temple of the devil, you should therefore not permit sickness, disease, and weakness in your body. How Do I live in Divine Health?
    i. The first step towards living in divine health is accepting Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour. You must be born again.
    2 Corinthians 5:17
  9. Study The Word of God. The Word of God is light, as the light of God enters your spirit consistently, darkness will not be able to build a stronghold in your life. John 1:5
  10. Prayer. When you communicate with God, you radiate the presence of God, and no sickness can stand in His presence. 1 Thessalonians 5:17
  11. By being constant in the house of God and regular in fellowship. Obadiah 1:17, Matthew 18:20, Hebrews 12: 22-24
  12. By resisting the demon of sickness. The Bible says in James 4:7 that when you resist the devil, he will definitely flee from you.
  13. By engaging in evangelism, when you propagate the gospel of Jesus Christ, God will keep you healthy so you can win more souls. Proverbs 13:17b
