TEACHING SERIES
FOCUS: PRAISE
Our Spiritual focus for the month of December 2020 is Praise.
“Let Israel rejoice in him that made him: let the children of Zion be joyful in their King. Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp. For the LORD taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation.“
Psalms 149:2-4
God specifically commands His children to give Him thanks.
God commands us to sing praises to Him because of the magnitude of glory praising Him brings into our lives.
“Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee. Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us.“
Psalms 67 verse 5-6
It’s not every praise that is acceptable to God.
God accepts praises that comes from a joyful heart.
“Because thou servedst not the LORD thy God with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart…; Therefore shalt thou serve thine enemies...”
Deuteronomy 28:47-48
