                                   DIVINE HEALING

Numerous accounts of God’s amazing ability to heal are found throughout the Bible.
These stories, which include the resurrection of Lazarus from the dead in the New Testament and the cure of Naaman the leper in the Old Testament, attest to God’s supernatural capacity to restore health and wholeness.

As believers and join heirs of the Kingdom,
we have inherited the supernatural healing ability that Jesus displayed. The book of James 5:14-15 says “Is there a sick person among you? He should summon the church’s elders, and they should pray over him and anoint him with oil in the Lord’s name. And the sick can be saved by faith prayers, and the Lord will heal the sick person. And they will pardon him for his sins, if he has any.
Our body, being the temple of the living God, the Holy Spirit as stated by Apostle
Paul, “Do you not know that you are a temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?” (1 Corinthians 6:19).
This understanding implies that we are responsible for caring for our bodies as sacred vessels. While medical advancements and healthy lifestyle choices are important, the ultimate source of healing and well-being is believed to be God.

FAITH

Our faith is considered a Catalyst that plays a crucial role in divine healing. Jesus often healed people after they expressed their belief in His power. The Bible teaches that faith can move mountains (Matthew 17:20). When we approach God with faith, believing in His ability to heal, we open ourselves up to miraculous intervention.

HOLISTIC NATURE OF DIVINE HEALTH

Divine health is holistic, not limited to physical healing. It encompasses the whole person: body, soul, and spirit. The Bible emphasizes the importance of spiritual health and emotional well-being. When we seek a relationship with God, we can experience peace, joy, and a sense of purpose that contributes to overall health.

A Balanced Approach

While the Bible offers hope and promise of healing, it’s important to maintain a balanced perspective. While some may experience miraculous healings, others may not. God’s will for each individual is unique. It’s essential to seek medical attention when needed and to trust in God’s sovereignty, even in the face of illness or suffering.

In the Old Testament, God is often depicted as a healer. For instance, in Exodus 15:26, God declares, “I am the Lord who heals you” (NIV).
This implies that healing is part of God’s nature and His relationship with His people.
The covenant between God and Israel often included blessings for obedience and consequences for disobedience. Deuteronomy 7:15, for example, says, “The Lord will keep you free from every disease.” This reflects the belief that living by God’s commandments can lead to physical well-being.
Healing is one of the signs of God’s divine authority and presence in the lives of His Prophets like Elijah and Elisha, who performed miracles, including healings, (1 Kings 17:17-24; 2 Kings 4:32-37). These acts confirmed the prophet’s divine authority and God’s care for His people.
In the New Testament, the healing ministry of Jesus is prominent. Jesus healed the sick, gave sight to the blind, and even raised the dead. These miracles are seen as signs of the Kingdom of God breaking into the world (Matthew 4:24; Luke 7:22). Healing was a key aspect of Jesus’ ministry, demonstrating His compassion and divine authority.
(Matthew 9:22; Mark 2:5). It is important to note that not all healings are explicitly linked to the recipient’s faith.
Divine health has many dimensions than just physical healing, while physical healing is an important one, faith is crucial to have in God’s ability to heal.
We can speak to God and make our needs known through prayer. Note that prayer is a two-way dialogue. We should also bear in mind that God’s rewards are contingent upon one’s adherence to His precepts. Showing gratitude, thanking God for His healing even before the physical manifestation reveals our confidence and faith in Him.
I am a living testimony of divine healing. Early this year I was very ill and all medical efforts to diagnose the sickness proved abortive. I was to be operated but God intervened in His mysterious ways. In my sickness, I told God, that I’ve been assigned to write an article on divine health. Before the time O LORD, let me experience divine health if not I would be writing based on hearsay. To the glory of His Holy name, I got my total healing in September, while before then in August, my people were beginning to give up. I kept reminding God about the article on divine health assigned to me. The Most High Jehovah Rapha proved Himself the Great Physician indeed! Glory and honor return to Him🙏🏽

In Conclusion:
Everyone can receive the gift of divine health.
We can experience healing and wholeness in all aspects of our lives by comprehending the biblical teachings and putting our faith in God’s ability to work. Knowing that God is the ultimate source of healing and restoration, let us seek His face and put our faith in His promises.
