Our Focus for the month of October 2020 is Divine Health!
Jesus Christ told us that healing is the children’s bread and we are the children of the most high God!
Hallelujah!
One of the reasons Jesus Christ came into this world is to restore man to dignity. Before the fall, man enjoyed divine health, no sickness or disease was named with him.
When man fell, the dominion he had over sickness also fell. Man become subject to all manner of sickness and diseases, physical, spiritual and emotional. Man became a prey to the devil and the forces of darkness.
Jesus Christ, the second and last Adam came into this world to restore to man the dominion he lost.
Consequently, it behooves anyone that desires to have dominion to first of all accept Jesus Christ as his or her personal savior, understand the salvation message and exercise his or her authority.
“For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.“
1 John 3:8
Sickness is a manifestation of the work of the devil. In John 10:10 the Bible makes us to understand that the devil is the enemy.
“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”
Sickness was never part of God’s plan for man.
When man fell, the devil brought in sickness to torment and make this world unbearable for man. The devil was never happy about the creation of man. Moreover, God created man in His own image and after His likeness, man reminds the devil of how God looks like, remember, the devil was thrust out of heaven because of his disobedience and arrogancy.
For man to enjoy his body and live in perfect health, he needs to exercise dominion over his body.
Man is divided into three parts: spirit, soul and body.
A man is a spirit, he has a soul and lives in a body. The body is the house of the man. The real man is the spirit, therefore it is the duty of the man to take care of his house, to make sure his habitation is not desecrated or destroyed by external forces.
Until man understands this concept, divine health will be elusive.
God in His infinite mercy has made provision and provided solution to anything that might want to make the journey of life burdensome for man.
The question is: how can you attain divine health?
You need to first of all understand that sickness is a trespasser, sickness and diseases are caused and imposed by demons. That Jesus Christ has given you dominion and authority over sicknesses and diseases.
“Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.“
Luke 10:19
That the name of Jesus is strong enough to cast out demons of sickness. That you do not need any other name or any other thing to be healed and to live in divine health.
“Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Philipians 2:9-11
It is pertinent that you accept and believe that the name of Jesus is above every other name irrespective of the name of the sickness.
Also, you need to understand that once you accept Jesus Christ into your life as your personal Lord and Saviour, your status changes, you move from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of light which is the kingdom of God.
In this kingdom, there is no sickness, no disease, therefore, it is impossible for any sickness to cleave to you, but to access this privileged, you need an understanding of this provision to be able to appropriate it.
Also, you need to believe and understand that you are no longer the person you used to be before you gave your life to Jesus.
“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”
Galatians 2:20
In your current body, it is no longer the you that your parents gave birth to that lives anymore but a regenerated being, born and sanctified by the blood of the lamb.
“Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.“
1 John 4:4
You need to understand that the greater one, who is greater than the whole world lives on your inside. You might not look like it, but that is what happens when you accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour.
Also, you need to proclaim your victory
“For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.“
Romans 10:10
To enforce your victory over sickness and diseases, you need to speak it out.
Remember, the Bible says
“Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.”
Job 22:28
As you do all of these, you shall surely live in divine health in the name of Jesus name.
