Hello everyone!
I believe we had a great time going through our May edition of El Shaddai Heritage, the good news is that the June edition is here!
My prayer is that we shall engage in the Word of God highlighted and put the various findings to work so we can emerge as a living testimony despite our situation in Jesus name.
At the last edition of El Shaddai Heritage, we analyzed who a widow is and the provision made by God to bear her burden.
This month, we shall be looking at and discussing fully some of the points adduced to at the May 2019 edition as time permits.
I quickly want to draw our attention to the plan of God for man”s life span in Genesis 6:3 vis a vis David’s finding in Psalms 90:10.
“And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years”
Genesis 6:3
“The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.”
Psalms 90:10
Looking closely at the above scriptures, we will discover that Genesis 6:3 is a solemn declaration of the Almighty God while Psalms 90:10 is a discovery of David regarding the life span of people living on earth in his time.
We shall analyze both scripture one after the other.
It is however pertinent that we understand that the Word of God is True, Living and Active.
I have noticed that people including Christians, I mean believers in Christ Jesus are quick to attribute calamities that befall them to God. Some will say something like “God took him…who are we to question God”
” Why will God allow this to happen…”
The Bible says in Hosea 4:6
“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge… “
When you try to explain to people that God is not behind oppression and affliction, they are quick to refer you to the catastrophe that befell Job. They even go further to tell you that God did that because he was boasting of Job’s commitment to him. So, if you believe that your loved one passed away untimely because God was boasting of him, I will think you should roll out the drums and rejoice instead of mourning!
It is important that we believe and settle it in our hearts that God is good, He is not our enemy, He loves us and has no reason to afflict us. God is not in need of resourceful and intelligent people in heaven so he has to terminate some productive lives here on earth so they can help him out in heaven!
No, no, no, capital NO!
I have a quick question for you:
How many of you will gladly deprive your children especially young children and loved ones of basic life necessities like food and shelter if you have the capacity to provide it knowing fully well that they have no ability to provide such for themselves just to prove their love and commitment to you?
Listen!
We are God’s children! He refers to us as His kids!
“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:” John 1:12
“Then Jesus saith unto them, Children, have ye any meat?…” John 21:5
In Jeremiah 29:11, God said:
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end”
In the above scripture, God said “For I Know…” that means God is not guessing.
For us to understand exactly what Job went through, we need to comprehend the Word of God in Job 3:25
“For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me.”
In our July edition of El Shaddai Heritage, we shall continue on this interesting topic.
Shalom! Shalom!!Shalom!!!
