Happy New Year!
You are welcome to the January 2023 edition of El Shhadai Heritage!
I hope your holiday was restful and full of festivities. The Lord that brought you into year 2023 will protect and defend you all throughout the year and open His good treasure unto you in Jesus name!
God is a good God. He said in His Word that He will never leave or forsake you. God has not changed and He will never change. His Words are yeah and Amen!
Our Focus for January 2023 is Thanksgiving!
“Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
“For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.“
Psalms 100: 4-5
In Psalms 24 verses 1, we are made to understand that the earth and the fullness thereof belong to God.
God is the one that rounds off the year, He brings each year to a close.
“Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness.“
Psalms 65:11
In the book of Revelation, we understand that God almighty is the beginning and the end, He is the first and the last
“I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.”
Revelation 22:13
So, God is the one that opens the year and brings it to an end.
We are therefore privileged to be a partaker and to be alive in this new year.
We owe God thanks for His unfailing love and mercy over our lives.
Irrespective of the negative situation you went through last year, God did not abandon you nor has He forgotten you.
In the book of Ecclesiastics, we are made to understand that there is a time and a season to everything under heaven.
“To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:“
Ecclesiastics 3:1
There is nothing you need in this world that God has not made provision for but there is a time allocated for the manifestation of that blessing.
While you are waiting for your expectation to manifest, God expects you to give Him thanks.
In the book of Proverbs, the Bible says,
“For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off.“
Proverbs 28:18
The truth is, as long as you remain committed to Jesus Christ, obeying him, the enemy can not have the final say over your life, it’s impossible.
The Bible makes us understand that with the help of the Holy Spirit, we will always overcome any challenge that comes our way.
“So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.”
Isaiah 59:19
You might be going through a situation that you do not understand but I encourage you to see the larger picture through the eyes of Jesus.
“Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
Hebrews chapter 12 verse 2
Look at the case of Ruth in the Bible.
Friends, family members, and acquaintances must have mocked her, people might have said negative and unpleasant things about her. Her entrance into her husband’s family brought doom and disaster to that once-happy family.
It was after her marriage that her father-in-law died, subsequently, her husband died and his only brother also died.
When Ruth chose to go with her mother-in-law to her country, a lot of people must have thought she had lost her mind.
It was as if Ruth knew God had a plan and kept following her mother-in-law who she knows is the road map, the direction to her destination, the guide to her glorious future.
After following God through her mother-in-law, Ruth became the great, great grandmother of Jesus Christ.
There is no how you will trace the genealogy of Jesus Christ without mentioning Ruth.
God has the complete and perfect picture of your future in His hand, all you need to do is trust Him.
Give Him thanks continually
“Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.“
Hebrews chapter 13:5
In 1 Thessalonians we are told,
“In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.“
1 Thessalonians 5:18
Giving thanks to God continually and in all things.
