Our Spiritual Focus for the month of January 2021 is Thanksgiving!
We all have a reason to give thanks to the Lord. The fact that you are alive is enough reason to thank the Lord.
God preserved your life for a reason.
A lot of people passed away in 2020 not because they wanted to. Here you are, alive. God gave you the opportunity to see another year!
The Bible says in Psalms 124:1-8
“If it had not been the Lord who was on our side, now may Israel say;
2 If it had not been the Lord who was on our side, when men rose up against us:
3 Then they had swallowed us up quick, when their wrath was kindled against us:
4 Then the waters had overwhelmed us, the stream had gone over our soul:
5 Then the proud waters had gone over our soul.
6 Blessed be the Lord, who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth.
7 Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped.
8 Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth.“

In Isaiah 43: 18-19, the Bible says:
“Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.
Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.”
God is able to make all things new.
Revelation 21:5
It is pertinent that you forget the past, it is necessary that you put the ugly incidents of last year behind you.
The Bible says in Hebrews chapter 12 verse 2
“…Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; …”
It’s time to look up to Jesus this new year, He is able to re write your story.
Let your faith come alive, give Him thanks, trust in Him. God does not fail.
Give thanks to the Lord for the great and mighty things he will do in your life this year.
“If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the LORD of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart.“
Malachai 2 verse 2
Irrespective of what you went through last year, if you think very well, you will realise you have a reason, one reason to thank God. There is always something to thank God for, so, arise and give Him thanks.
As you sing praises unto the Lord and dance to praise Him, every negative situation the enemy has brought on you will begin to give way, they will break off your life, they will be shattered by the power of the Holy Ghost.

Don’t wait for testimonies before praising God, as you praise Him, your testimonies will come rushing in.

I pray, the grace to praise and worship Him acceptably will come upon you now in the name of Jesus!
