You are welcome to December 2020 edition of El Shaddai Heritage!
“O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.“
Psalms 107 verse 1
Our Spiritual Focus for the month of December 2020 is Praise.
The truth is that, you owe God Praise.
God kept you from January to December despite all the unpleasant situation that characterised year 2020, from pandemic to lockdown, loss of lives, famine, depression…yet, you are still here!
Irrespective of what your situation is, you owe God thanks!
The Bible says in Ecclesiastics chapter 9 verse 4
“For to him that is joined to all the living there is hope: for a living dog is better than a dead lion.”
You might not be where you expected to be at this stage in your life, your projections probably didn’t materialize but you are still here, you still have the breath of life in you.
God asked Ezekiel a question in Ezekiel chapter 37 verse 3
“…Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord GOD, thou knowest“
Ezekiel knew only God could cause life to enter into dry bones and make them live.
That might be your situation, you might be wondering if any good thing can still come out of this year in your favour and in respect of your situation.
I’ve got good news for you!
In Habakkuk chapter 3 verse 7, the Bible says:
“Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls:”
The Lord is saying although it seems nothing fantastic is going on in your life, although it looks like nothing is working, none of your expectation have materialized, it seems all doors are shut, the marriage proposal is not coming, the children are not coming forth, your business is not doing well, your health is failing…
The Bible says in verse 18
“Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.”
God expects you to give Him thanks contrary to the principles of the world. The principles that govern the kingdom of God that you belong are completely different from the principles that govern the world.
When you give thanks to God, when you dance, when you rejoice and sing praises to His name, things begin to work in your favor.
“The LORD God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds’ feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places…“
Habakkuk chapter 3:19
As you give thanks and sing praises unto the Lord, chains are broken, your health is restored, situations shift in your favour, people remember you for good, the favour of God makes a way for you. God raises help for you. You begin to shine.
Complain complicates matters.
God is not your enemy. God is not partial.
God is not the one behind your situation, do not accept the lie of the devil!
The Bible says in 3rd John chapter 1 verse 2
“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.”
The plan and desire of God is for you to prosper in everything you do.
In Malachi chapter 2 verse 2
The Bible says
“If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the LORD of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart.“
Remember, the Bible says we are priest and kings by virtue of our salvation.
God is saying if you do not give glory to my name, your blessings will be cursed!
There are so many blessings the Lord has deposited into your life. If you think very well, you will discover that indeed, the Lord has blessed you.
In Psalms 68 verse 19
“Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation.”
God does not lie to anyone. If your situation is bad, God is the reason why it is not worse. The enemy wants you miserable.
The Bible says God daily loads us with blessings, God blesses you every day, it’s another story if the blessings get to you or not.
Do not allow the good things you are enjoying now to be cursed because of ingratitude.
Rise up! Give thanks to the Lord and the man of war will arise for your sake and destroy everything covering your glory and preventing you from moving forward.
It’s a new day for you.
As you give thanks to The Lord, as you praise Him, your situation will surely turn around and you shall rejoice.
SHALOM! SHALOM! SHALOM!
