Our Spiritual Focus for the month of April 2022 is LOVE
What is love
Love is doing something for making a person happy unconditionally, it involves respect, caring, sympathy, trust, honesty, forgiveness, and openness towards another.
He that loveth not knoweth not God for God is love.
Beloved God loved us, we ought to also love one another.
“For God so loved the world that he gave…” The true expression of the love of God is in the love of one’s neighbour. Jesus calls us to care for the poor and underprivileged. One of the purposes of Kingdom wealth is to help those who are in need Pro 28:27. Every act of kindness we show doesn’t go unnoticed by God. The Bible says in Proverbs 19:17 that he that has pity upon the poor lends unto God.
Helping others does not only store up treasures for us in heaven, it is an act of kindness and it shows our humanity. When we show love to others by putting smiles on people’s faces, we are spreading happiness. And when we spread happiness with a pure heart, it also makes you happy. When you help others, you find that whenever you may need help, help will always be near.
The Bible admonishes us to Love our neighbours as ourselves, this is to say that whatever we would like for ourselves, we should also want that for those around us. The greatest example of love ever was the sacrifice Jesus made for us at Calvary, and Jesus being our perfect example, let us learn to love also by making sacrifices.
May God grant us the Grace to spread love and kindness to our world, Amen!
